Since Yahoo use flickr as default photo service they have my wife decide to upgrade her account to pro. Since she use ubuntu OS for some reason she use old upload photo tool and that make the job little daunting.

I just try to use desktop application called Flickr Upload and documenting installation process till configuration section.

Installation steps

Download latest Flickr tool from http://www.flickr.com/tools

Double click the installer.

Click Next to continue.

Choose Install Location, by default Flickr Upload will be installed in Program Files.

Click Browse to change for other folder or click Next to continue.

Click Install button.

Click Finish as Flickr Upload successfully installed.

Configure Flickr Uploadr

Open application by double click the icon.

Click Tools -> Preferences

Change connection settings

I have proxy server with address 172.88.1.3 and port 3128.

Enter that information and click OK.

Little pop up will show up as Flickr needs your permission.

Click OK to get started.

Login to your yahoo account as flickr account also integrated in your yahoo acc.

Flickr Uploads want to link to your flickr account

I choose Right option as I came to the page from Flickr Uploads

Click Next.

Click “OK, I’LL authorize it”

This screen will show up.

Click Ready button.

The Flickr Uploadr is ready for you.

This tool available for free and pro account.

Enjoy upload new photos while offline with Flickr Uploadr.
