My first met with acronis happen when my boss give me task for backup  computer staff into ftp server and after searching a while using google I found Acronis True Image. From their website I get convinced to give this software a try and its work well as their claim.

Back up your entire PC, including the OS plus your data, applications, pictures, video, financial documents, settings and everything!

Install Acronis True Image 2009 isn’t difficult as some people may thought, it’s the same like other windows software. Just make sure to have the program and licence.

This time I’ll show how to install Acronis True Image 2009 on Windows XP :

1. Prepare setup file, double click to start install.

2. Open File – Security Warning will show up. Click ‘Run’ to continue.

3. Click on ‘Install Acronis True Image‘ to start installation process.

4. Setup file will prepare file needed, let it be.

5. Image setup shown as below, click Next to continue.

6. Choose ‘I accept this agreement’ and click Next button.

7. Enter serial number that you have when you bought Acronis True Image.

Click ‘Next’ to continue.

8. Fill all information, make sure to enter valid email address .  Click Next to continue.

9. Choose Setup Type.

Depend on your experience you better to use ‘Typical’ type and click Next.

10. Pick where you want to install Acronis. click Next.

11. Click Proceed to continue process.

12. Wait till all file copied and setup properly by Acronis setup.

13. When everything OK Acronis will give you message :

Acronis True Image Home has been successfully installed.

Click Close.

14. Choose Yes to restart your computer.

15. Acronis True Image Home ready to serve Your PC.

For some case I found this software very helpful, I remember when clicker worm spread like clock. My friend PC get infected and slow down their work. Reinstall is the only option they have and I’m glad I can restore the image back and applied patch before connecting the computer back to the network.
