Step by Step Guide How to Save Facebook Video / Movie

One of my friend who continue her study overseas share her ‘secret’ video and tag us on facebook. The others asking on how to save the video to her laptop HD and I agree to create this tutorial for her beside for others that might face same problem.

Here’s the steps : ( I use Firefox as browser and Windows 7 as Operating system)

Install GreaseMonkey

Download latest GreaseMonkey version from here.

Click ‘Add to Firefox’ button to initiate install process.

New pop up Software Installation from Firefox will appear, wait for ‘Install Now’ button. Click the button to start install.

Restart Firefox, don’t worry about current tabs as Firefox will restore your latest condition.

Install GreaseMonkey Script

Download Facebook Video GreaceMonkey user script from here.

Basically this script will add links to download or convert videos with zamzar.com and provides code to embed your videos in other site that will work even when Flash is disabled.

Click Install button to start install the script.

Download FaceBook Video | Movie

Open the Facebook URL video and you’ll see this box near the video.

Choose ‘Download Video‘ if you want to download video in .mp4 format

Choose ‘Convert Video‘ if you want to convert Facebook video/ movie to other format.

Click Save and Download process will begin.

You can watch the video facebook video offline with any video player that support .mp4 format.
