Howto use System Restore on Windows XP

Recent activity that my cousin done make my vmware not working well, when I asked him about what he did he explain me nothing than word ‘I don’t know’.

Vmware just give me message as shown in the picture :

Ok, first action to do is using Windows XP software called ‘System Restore‘.

To use that software simply follow these steps :

1. Run the program from :

Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore

2. Setting

By default System Restore create ‘restore point’ automatically, for some case if no restore point available it means you must enable System Restore first. Click on ‘System Restore Settings‘ will give you this :

No. 1 : By check this box will activate System Restore.

No. 2 : Settings is available for each drive. You may adjust maximum space available to system restore on a drive.

3. To set System Restore to restore to earlier time you must choose the option :

“restore my computer to an earlier time” and click Next.

Click on Next

Last confirmation, click Next button will process restore. Just wait till over and my vmware working well now.
