How to use Acronis Backup & Recovery : Local backup
After install acronis backup and recovery family edition in last post I’l continue with backup tutorial.
To start backup using backup and recovery family follow these steps :
Open Acronis Backup and Recovery
Click Start -> All Programs -> Acronis -> Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Management Console

Program will open and focus on the right side, thereis two main things to consider :
1. Backup
Create a backup plan to protect data on the machine
2. Recover
Recover the data from a backup archive created by your backup plan.
Click on Back up

What to back up
Acronis Backup and Recovery will detect hard drive installed and recognized it as ‘items to back up’, as you see on the picture 2 disk with total 30 GB space.
Click on Change… for setting what data to back up.

Select disks and volumes to back up, just pick the partition.
Click OK.

As you see, items to back up is set to Disk 1 (C)

Where to back up
Click Change... on the right side of where to back up section.
I create folder backup on partition E and pointing it as backup path, E:\backup\

Click OK to continue.
How to back up
Choose Back up now, start back up immediately after the plan is created.
Click OK.

Backup process will start and located in Backup plans and task section, complete with the state.

When the backup process task successfully done, task information will display confirmation window.

The process itself depend on the backup size and computer speed, for 1,3 GB data in drive C it take around 4 minute.
How about other backup schema like FTP?
