How to install ftp client in Windows 7

“Install ftp client and upload the file to your ftp account”

That sentence lead my wife to ask me more question.

What is ftp client?

Well, FTP stand for file transfer protocol. Plus client word make it work as software in client side to do ftp thing. In this case for upload or send the file to location in other computer called ftp account.

FTP client itself is very much and I just going to explain one of the famous : Filezilla, which is going to be client for Windows 7.

Download the file

Get latest version of the software from here.

Save to my document.

Double click the file to start install process.

In license agreement click ‘I agree’

Choose Installation options for Filezilla Client.

I choose ‘anyone who uses this computer (all users)

Click Next.

Choose FTP client components to install :

I choose ; Icon sets, language files, shell extensions.

Click Next.

Choose Destination folder.

Let it as is :

C:\Program Files\Filezilla FTP Client

or click Browse to choose other location.

Click Next.

Choose a start menu folder for the FileZilla client shotcut.

Let it as is.

Click Install.

Install Process will begin and copy all needed files and when everything run well you’ll see this display.

Click Finish.

If you let “Start FileZilla now” checked you’ll see new window open.

The ftp client ready to serve.
