How to cleanup temporary file

Low disk space, common problem that user usually face when the storage running out. Windows utility called ‘Disk Cleanup ‘  Utility will show up and tell you to delete unnecessary files.

To cleanup that file and specially temporary file manually sometime needed, here the steps :

1. Click Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Disk Cleanup

2. Disk cleanup and More Options

By default ‘Disk Cleanup’ tab will show up and you need to choose which file that going to cleanup by wizard.

More Options tab will give three places :

- Windows components

- Installed programs

- System Restore

Each component has their own special place, using this utility will delete them safely.

TIPS :

- Focus on specific drive only to speed up the process.

- Using disk properties also able to bring you to ‘Disk Cleanup’ utility.

- For major process where you see sudden decrease in space you might want to delete most recent restore point that created by system restore.
